November 30th, 2008 by Bauani | No Comments | Filed in Google, Internet Search

If you are owner of a website, have concern about the PR (PageRank) value of your website and off-course user of Google, just stope reading this article and update your Google Profile Now!

Yes, Google Profiles are now available from TOP PR value website http://www.Google.Com/ ! Recently Google has update there main robots.txt file with an sitemap entry pointing to http://www.gstatic.com/s2/sitemaps/profiles-sitemap.xml having millions of Google User Profile’s URL. User profiles are having public searchable URL hosted on http://www.google.com/ domain. If you are currently logged in to Google, visit http://www.google.com/s2/profiles/me/editprofile to update yours now.  After finishing update, google will host it on there main site with URL something like My Google Profile

A lot of people around the net wonder why that google indexed there profile on a separate domain gstatic.com.  It seems easier to roll out these files to the server. Google is a big big big data center network, so if you would like to distribute these files to the google domain you would have to wait hours, propably days that they are all the same on all data centers. just put it to a seperate smaller serverfarm you can roll out these files much much faster. Comments posted on a Blog regarding Google Profiles.

Thease profiles is still lack of ‘rel=nofollow’ tag, having larger value on Search Engine Optimization. From the point of view of some SEO Experts, “People are forgetting though that Google doesn’t *need* nofollow to be added. They can quite easily achieve the same effect with an internal rule.” they also expressed “It would be shocked if this is passing any SEO juice either”.

This is also to be noted that http://www.google.com/s2/profiles/ are not restricted by robots.txt .
